Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Funaride, including the mobile application, website, and related services operated by FUNA-RIDE UGANDA LTD.
1.ABOUT FUNARIDE
Funa-Ride is a community-based ride-sharing and carpooling platform that connects passengers and drivers traveling in the same direction within Uganda and other supported regions.
2.ELIGIBILITY
To use the Services, you must:
• Be at least 18 years old;
• Have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements;
• Provide accurate and complete registration information;
• Comply with all applicable Ugandan laws and regulations.
3.ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
Passengers and drivers may be required to provide:
• Full name;
• Email address;
• Phone number;
• National ID or government-issued identification;
• Admission/registration number where applicable;
• Driving permit and vehicle details for drivers.
Drivers may also be required to upload:
• National ID;
• Driving permit;
• Vehicle inspection and insurance documents.
4.ACCOUNT SECURITY
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and activities under their accounts.
5.COMMUNITY CARPOOLING RULES
Users must:
• Behave respectfully;
• Arrive at pickup points on time;
• Follow safety instructions;
• Avoid unlawful or dangerous conduct.
6.DRIVER OBLIGATIONS
Drivers agree to:
• Hold a valid driving permit;
• Maintain roadworthy vehicles;
• Obey traffic laws;
• Avoid driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
7.PASSENGER OBLIGATIONS
Passengers agree:
• To provide accurate pickup/drop-off information;
• To behave respectfully toward drivers and fellow passengers.
8.SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENTS
Subscription plans may include:
• Monthly;
• Quarterly;
• Bi-Annual;
• Annual subscriptions.
Subscription fees are payable in advance and may be non-refundable unless required by law.
9.TRIP BOOKINGS & CANCELLATIONS
Passengers may request rides through the App, and drivers may accept or decline requests.
Excessive cancellations may result in restrictions or suspension.
10.CARPOOLING DISCLOSURES
Passengers acknowledge that:
• Multiple passengers may share the same vehicle;
• Routes may include additional stops;
• Pickup/drop-off times may vary.
11.PRICACY & DATA PROTECTION
Use of the Services is governed by the Funa-Ride Privacy Policy.
12.LOCATION SERVICES
The App may require access to your device location for ride matching, routing, and safety purposes.
13.RATINGS AND FEEDBACK
Passengers and drivers may rate each other and provide feedback.
14.PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
Users may not:
• Use the platform for illegal activities;
• Provide false information;
• Harass or endanger others;
• Interfere with platform security.
15.INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All intellectual property rights related to the platform remain the property of FUNA-RIDE UGANDA LTD.
16.DISCLAIMERS
The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”
Funa-Ride does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
17.LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
FUNA-RIDE UGANDA LTD shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Services.
18.INDEMNIFICATION
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless FUNA-RIDE UGANDA LTD against claims arising from misuse of the platform.
19.SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violations of these Terms.
20.DESPUTES RESOLUTION
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Uganda.
Disputes shall be subject to courts located in Kampala, Uganda.
21.FORCE MAJEURE
TFuna-Ride shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
22.CHANGE TO TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time and notify users through the App or website.
